Ask for a clear distinction between brush removal, tree removal, stump work, grading and material disposal. Development-related tree work may need reports or protection measures. Confirm applicable approvals before work begins; clearing vegetation does not replace planning, building or other permissions.

Does clearing include grading?
Only if the written scope includes it. Tree work, excavation and grading may be separate services with separate approvals and contractors.
